A Message from Our Founder

CARMOOSE started the day I went to buy an Audi A3 2.0 TDI and the dealer tried to upsell it by telling me the “S tronic” gearbox was sealed for life — unlike the Golf 2.0 TDI, which apparently did need servicing.

Same engine.
Same DQ250 6‑speed wet dual clutch gearbox.
Same chassis.
Same service interval.
Same car, just wearing a different badge.

I was literally staring at the service advisor screen on Autodata while he confidently explained that the Audi didn’t need servicing “because it’s not a DSG gearbox”. He was trying to turn lack of service history into a selling point. That was the moment something inside me quietly snapped. Not a dramatic meltdown — more the soft internal crack of someone being gaslit by a man who refused to believe an irrefutable fact.

I realised I had two options: start a dealership that actually understands automatic gearboxes… or lie down on the pavement and let the weather finish me off.

So yes — CARMOOSE was founded out of spite. Oh... and a neurodivergent love for automatic gearbox service intervals.
